First multifunctional center of Public Services Agency opened in Straseni

The first multifunctional center of the Public Services Agency was inaugurated in Straseni on December 6. The center will provide public services by the one-stop shop principle. Until now the applicants went to different institutions, including the local offices of the Information Resources Center “Registru”, Civil Status Office, State Registration Chamber, Licensing Chamber and Cadastral Office, IPN reports.

In the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said it is planned to open such centers in each district of Moldova by the middle of next year. A draft Government decision, which will be examined in the nearest future, envisions the extension of the range of public services that will be offered by these centers. “The final goal pursued is for the multifunctional centers of the Public Services Agency to provide all the existing public services,” stated Pavel Filip.

“People who earlier worked at the five reorganized institutions now serve at this center. Owing to their high level of professional training, we could now open this center,” said the director of the Public Services Agency Sergiu Railean.

The multifunctional centers are created as part of the central public administration reform that led to the foundation of the Public Services Agency by the reorganization of other state institutions.
