First mini winemaking school to be opened in Nisporeni
The first mini school for training winemakers in Moldova will work as part of a vocational school in Nisporeni town. The students there will learn all the wine production cycles, from planting vine to bottling the wine. The mini school will have a winery with a production capacity of 100,000 liters a year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Austrian Development Agency.
The students will acquire skills enabling them to run their own companies. The initiative is implemented as part of the Mol.Agri project that aims to support the modernization of the vocational education system in Moldova and stimulate the development of small and medium-sized companies in rural communities. A winery school will be also opened in Leova town within this project.
Mol.Agri was launched 5 years ago. An experimental vegetable hothouse and an apiary were set up at the vocational school in Nisporeni as part of the project.
The project is implemented with financial support from the Austrian Development Agency and the Austrian Development Cooperation in partnership with the Ministry of Eduction of Moldova and the Association KulturKontak Austria.
The mini school will be opened on September 17. The ceremony will be attended by officials of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and Intentional Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Education of Moldova as well as by representatives of the donor community and local authorities.
