The first two side loader garbage trucks of the six purchased by the municipality arrived in Chisinau. The other four trucks will be delivered to the cleanup company “Autosalubritate” by the end of this month, IPN reports.

The municipality said that 44 new garbage trucks will be shipped to Chisinau in the framework of the Chisinau Solid Waste Project that is financed by the Chisinau City Hall, the EBRD and E5P.

The six MAN garbage trucks were bought from the Serbian company Atrikod d.o.o., which won the tender contest held in accordance with the EBRD’s procurement procedure within the Chisinau Solid Waste Project.

The trucks are to be examined by international consultants and experts of the municipal cleanup company “Autosalubritate”. Later, they will be engaged in the process of collecting waste from waste storage platforms in the capital city.

Also, eight tractors for transporting waste to the landfill in Țânțăreni will be delivered in July, while the other 30 new garbage trucks will start to be shipped in August.
