The first independent candidate that will participate in the election campaign for the July 29 parliamentary elections is Tatiana Tambalist. She submitted the necessary documents to the Central Election Commission on Friday, July 3, Info-Prim Neo reports. Tatiana Tambalist is the mayor of Lalova village of Stefan Voda district. The Social Democratic Party (PSD) filed the documents also on Friday. The PSD will run in elections under a joint list with the Centrist Union of Moldova. As a result of a draw held on Friday evening, it was decided that the PSD will take the eighth position in the ballots, while Tatiana Tambalist – the ninth position. In the April 5 legislative elections, the PSD won 3.7% of the vote, while independent Tatiana Tambalist – 0.16%. The election threshold was 6%. The deadline for the submission of documents for the political parties and independent candidates to be registered as competitors in the electoral race is July 7, 16.00.
