First hearing in “Padurea Domneasca” case postponed

The Falesti court put off the first hearing in the “Padurea Domneasca” case, at the request of the culprits’ lawyers. Contacted by IPN, prosecutor Vitalie Belinschi said the lawyers asked for the copies of the document by which a criminal case is started against the culprits, and for time for preparations.

The hearing was set for November 6. Eight hearings will be held in November and another two in December . Vitalie Belinschi said the case will be tried in 10 hearings by this yearend so as not to delay its examination.

A man was killed during hunting in the natural reserve “Padurea Domneasca” last December. The hunting involved the then Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco. Former vice president of the Chisinau Court of Appeals Gheorghe Cretu was charged with accidental killing. The case also involves the former director of the Forestry Agency “Moldsilva” Ion Lupu and other employees of the Agency.
