Ex-Prime Minister Vlad Filat will have the first hearing in his case on December 29. The hearing takes place at the Buiucani Court starting at 2:15pm. The information was communicated to IPN by the press officer of the Prosecutor General’s Office Maria Vieru.
A part of the case of Vlad Filat was sent to court last week. Anticorruption prosecutor Adriana Betisor said the accused is suspected of taking 800 million lei bribe.
If he is found guilty of influence peddling and passive corruption, the former Premier, who was arrested in October, will serve 7 to 15 years in jail and will be banned from holding particular posts.
