First freight train that will cross Transnistria will transport metal
The first freight train that will go through the Transnistrian region will convey metal, Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure Valeriu Ciubuc has told Info-Prim Neo. The train will set off from Rybnitsa on April 26 at 10am.
According to the deputy minister, the train will be loaded at the Metallurgical Plant and will go to Mariupol Port in Ukraine. It will have about 20 cars.
“The railways are functional. The transportation of goods via the Transnistrian region is to start. This is the most important thing,” said Valeriu Ciubuc.
On March 30, Prime Minister Vlad Filat and the Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk signed in Tiraspol an agreement on the full resumption of traffic through Transnistria, which was stopped in 2006.
