First-fourth graders will learn more about bees

The students of the first-fourth grades will be able to study the importance of bees for the environment and the life of humans as part of the “Bees are Our Friends” project. The initiative belongs to the Embassy of Slovenia in Moldova, with residence in Bucharest, and will be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research and the National Association of Beekeepers of the Republic of Moldova, IPN reports.

The students will learn about the importance of pollinators and will carry out a practical project. In Romania, such a project is at its second edition. The initiative is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of bees for the environment and humanity and at developing a basis of knowledge about bees and their protection by teaching and classical activities.

The Republic of Slovenia is the initiator of World Bee Day that was instituted by the UN and is celebrated on May 20 each year.
