The pupils of the first-fourth grades on October 26 entered the autumn vacation. Starting with October 29, the fifth-twelfth graders will also be on vacation. The announcement was made by the head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana-Nagnibeda Tverdohleb in the October 26 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, IPN reports.

The vacation ends on November 2. The next vacation – the winter one – will last for 17 days, from December 25 until January 10.

The primary school pupils will have an inter-semester vacation between February 27 and March 8, while the fifth-twelfth graders will be away from school between March 4 and 8. The Easter vacation starts on April 30 and ends on May 9.

According to the Education Code, the 2015-2016 school year lasts for 33 weeks in the primary education, for 35 weeks in the secondary education and for 34 weeks in the ninth and twelfth grades.
