On Monday, 27 March, in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) it ends the first edition of the Festival „Basarabia”, with a performance of the ensemble “Pe-un picior de plai”. During Sunday and Monday program, 26-27 March, there are included debates on the topic “New European perspectives of Moldova”, watching of the documentary “Satul din oglinda ”by OWH Studio, the movie “Tunul de lemn” on the novel with the same title by Nicolae Esinenco. There will be organized a mess the same day to remember the Unification Act of 1918 of Basarabia with Romania, flower putting at the monument of Onosifor Ghibu, tasting of traditional Moldovan dishes, workshop “Future of Bessarabian intellectuality – where to go?”. Festival „Basarabia” started on 25 March 2006 and is dedicated to the Unification Act of 27 March 1918. In the opening day there was organized a photo exhibition showing the main historical events of the Moldovan state. There were organized as well debates on the ground of the book “Basarabia” by Paul Goma, known Romanian writer, born in Orhei. Cluj citizens had the possibility to watch the movie “Lautarii” of the famous director of Moldova Emil Loteanu. The event was held due to the effort of the Bessarabian Initiative Group, students non-governmental organization of Moldova, who learn at the universities of the capital of Ardeal.
