A center for studying the Romanian language intended for children from the Moldovan diaspora in Russia was opened under the NGO “Rights Defender” in Moscow, IPN reports.
The Bureau for Diaspora Relations said the first lesson entitled “Hello” was held on August 20, while the second lesson on August 27, when Moldova marked its Independence Day, was given under the theme “I and my friends”. These involved children of expats who are eager to study the language spoken by their parents.
Two more lessons will be taught in September. These will be entitled “At the kindergarten” (September 3) and “Wow! How many toys!” (September 10). These lessons will be attended by about 50 children aged between five and 15. The children are divided in groups and are taught by two teachers.
The center for studying the Romanian language intended for children from the Moldovan diaspora in Russia will be officially presented at Moldova’s Embassy in Moscow during September 8-15, 2017.
