The first cases of flu in the current epidemic season were recorded in Moldova. Six cases have been reported so far, two of which in Chisinau municipality. Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu, in the December 5 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, said the consignment of flu vaccines provided by the foreign partners hasn’t yet reached Moldova and this is a problem, IPN reports.

According to Mihai Moldovanu, three of the five cases recorded in the municipality involve children. The neighboring state Ukraine is witnessing hundreds of thousands of cases of A H1N1 flu and there are also cases of death. The hotbeds are close to the border with Romania, where cases of flu were also recorded.

In this regard, the official recommended wearing surgical masks, paying increased attention to personal hygiene and avoiding crowded places.
