The first consignment of COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine purchased by the Republic of Moldova will be shipped to Chisinau towards the end of this month, epidemiologist of the National Public Health Agency Veaceslav Guțu announced, being quoted by IPN.

Pfizer Company, through the agency of another private company, will deliver the vaccine to the Republic of Moldova.

The last data of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection show that 89 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Moldova on July 26. A person succumbed to SARS-CoV-2 after developing complications. The COVID-19 cases in Moldova now total 258,713.

Of the infected 228 persons who are now in hospitals, 51 are in a very serious state and nine of these were put on a ventilator.
