First Baccalaureate exam over
The first Baccalaureate exam, in the language of learning, was taken. For some of the students it was difficult, while for the others rather easy. Most of them hope to get good grades, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Students of three Chisinau high schools– “Mircea Eliade”, “Mihai Viteazu” and “Miguel de Cervantes” - took the exam at “Gheorghe Asachi” High School. The parents waited for them near the door. The mothers said they came to support their children as the Baccalaureate exam is very important for their future. Some of the parents went to church to pray for a simpler test and a better grade.
None of the students at “Gheorghe Asachi” High School went out before 12 noon, when the three astronomic hours allotted expired. Before entering the hall, they were asked to leave their bags and mobile phones in front of the classroom. When going out, several students said it was impossible to cheat or talk between them.
Teacher Valentina Cempoies, who acted as observer, said the exam took place according to the regulations and there were no deviations. The students today could show what they learned during 12 years at school. There were by two observes in one classroom and representatives of the Ministry of Education and the Division of Education, Youth and Sport walked through the corridors. The teacher said she saw no attempts to copy on the part of students.
Angela Starinski, spokeswoman for the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime, stated for Info-Prim Neo that two calls were made to the Center through the hotline between 9am and 2pm. A call was made by a young man who graduated from the high school in Causeni in 2010. He said he was forced last year to give 200 lei for preparing a meal for the examiners. Another call was made by a person who wanted to know when the exam will be over.
Some of the Center’s officers were informed that money was collected for the Baccalaureate exam, but nobody wanted to cooperate.
The Next Baccalaureate exam, in the foreign language, will be taken on June 6.
