A facility for testing vehicle drivers was put into operation in Balti. Minister of Information and Communication Technology Vasile Botnari said the field will be automated by this yearend so as to increase the objectivity of the driving test by maximally eliminating the human factor, IPN reports.
Three automated fields are to be built in the country. These will be outfitted with video cameras and sensors that will fix all the movements of the candidate. At the end, the candidate’s aptitudes will be assessed by the computer. “We launched a reform process to implement a series of measures that would change the situation a regards the inappropriate skills of drivers, the purchase of driver’s licenses and corruption in the system,” stated Vasile Botnari.
The measures to reform the driver training system, to support the IT sector in Moldova and to modernize the postal services were discussed in a meeting of Vasile Botnari and directors of driving schools and business entities operating in the ICT sector in Balti municipality.
