The first Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Moldova submitted his credentials to Acting President Mihai Ghimpu, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the presidential press service. The head of state said the accreditation of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Chisinau will allow strengthening not only the political, but also commercial and economic cooperation between the two states. Trade between Moldova and the United Arab Emirates this year has increased two times compared with last year. Mihai Ghimpu stressed the importance of creating a joint, intergovernmental commission for commercial and economic cooperation that would work to facilitate the development of the bilateral relations, set up and implement investment projects in different fields. “The appointment of an Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Moldova is aimed at promoting the bilateral relations between out countries, mainly in such areas as politics, economy, culture and tourism,” said Ambassador Yacub Yousif Hasan Alhosani.
