A mobile rescue and firefighting unit will work temporarily near the COVID-19 Center at Moldexpo starting with March 1. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said the decision to set up the unit was taken in a move to prevent fires and other situations of risk, IPN reports.
Today, the 16 employees of the unit were engaged in training. The firefighters examined the emergency exits and fire hydrants and assessed the emergency response possibilities in case of fire.
The rescue and firefighting unit to prevent risks and ensure fire safety will be functional round-the-clock while the COVID-19 center will be operating.
