Firefighters continue their operation on Columna Street in the capital city, where a fire broke out on Wednesday. Employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations with 8 special vehicles are carrying out dismantling works on the building affected by the fire, IPN reports.
For now, the cause of the fire has not been found out. Specialists of the Inspectorate’s Experimental Fire Laboratory continue to work on the spot.
During the night, two teams of firefighters were engaged to monitor and ensure security at the scene.
The fire broke out on the morning of March 13 at 104 Columna Street. Over 100 rescuers and firefighters with 24 fire engines struggled to contain the blaze. The fire was extinguished in about six hours. No casualties were reported. The fire destroyed an area of about 4,000 square meters.
