The fire that started in Botanica district of Chisinau in the afternoon was localized after over two hours. Eighty firefighters with 15 firefighting vehicles struggled to contain the blaze that was destroying a wood processing plant, IPN reports.

Diana Turcan, press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, said there was a lot of smoke, but nobody was hurt.

The Service’s experimental laboratory is to establish the circumstances of the fire.
