A 47-year-old man was killed in a fire that happened in Pepenii Noi village of Sangerei district on Monday, April 27, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service. The causes of the fire and of the death are being established. Another man aged 34 was taken to hospital after he got poisoned with smoke and fumes. The fire broke out in a house in Targu Vertiujeni village of Floresti district. The man is now in a satisfactory condition. According to preliminary investigations, the fire started as a result of careless smoking. As many as 742 fires have happened in Moldova this year. They killed 83 persons, including a child.
