The fir tree placed in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau will be taken to pieces on January 15. Asked by IPN to provide details, vice director of the Green Areas Association Galina Leahu said the decision was taken in a meeting held in the afternoon of January 14.
Employees of the lighting company Lumteh, who are in charge of the led illumination on the Christmas tree, will also take part in the disassembly works. Until the next winter holidays, the tree will be kept in a storehouse of the Green Areas Association.
It was for the first time that an artificial Christmas tree was installed on the central square of Chisinau. This was offered as a present to the city by a local artificial trees making company. This is 20 meters in height and can be used for 7-8 years and can be then renewed using the body.
The municipality announced that it allocated 90,000 lei for building the fir tree’s basis. A sum of 200,000 lei was used to decorate the fir tree.
