Fiodor Ghelici, ambassador and standing representative of the Intentional Intergovernmental Organization in Moldova, said he suspects he can become the target of a murder attack. According to him, the actions against him are related to the activity that he staged as chairman of the Public Control Commission that worked under the President of Moldova.

In a news conference at IPN, Fiodor Ghelici said he found out that he is to be eliminated. In time, he struggled against all kinds of illegalities and was thus intimidated by those whose illegal acts he disclosed. “I want to tell those who try to scare me and to shut me up that the person who can scare me and make me keep silent wasn’t yet born on Earth! This should be clear to those rascals who consider that the people can be scared,” stated the activist.

According to him, last year, when he was named head of the Public Control Commission under the President, he tried to take actions that many persons didn’t like. He also asked to investigate the bank fraud and signaled irregularities at the Olympic Committee and at medical institutions and spoke about the abuses committed by representatives of the Party of Socialists. He was warned to stop investigating these issues and abuses and ultimately the Head of State ordered to disband the Commission.

Fiodor Ghelici also said that in a TV program Igor Dodon made a number of accusations against him, which he rejects as false. The activist demanded that the President should provide evidence or should apologize. He went to the Prosecutor’s Office, but was referred to the Police where he was told to go to court. He went to court and demanded that President Dodon should be held accountable and he should be paid 0.01 lei damages.
