Finland partially reopens border with Russia

The Finnish authorities decided to open the border crossing points Vaalimaa and Niirala on the border with Russia. Moldova’s Embassy in Sweden said the decision comes into force on December 14 and will be in effect until January 14, 2024, IPN reports.

The other border crossing points with Russia remain closed. “We recommend the citizens to follow the announcements of the Finnish Border Guard/ Frontpage (raja.fi),” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova.
