The persons who will modify the construction of apartment buildings by extending the balconies and extending or relocating rooms inside face fines of up to 15,000 lei. The Parliament’s legal commission for appointments and immunities approved a series of relevant amendments to the Contravention Code, IPN reports.
The bill provides that the destruction or intentional damaging of common property inside apartment buildings will be penalized with a fine of 1,500 to 3,000 lei. Among the violations are also the relocation of water supply and sewerage networks, modification of ventilation shafts, merger of apartments vertically, modification of heating systems by installing devices on balconies and performance of thermal insulation works and building painting works in the absence of an authorization.
The bill envisions penalties for the construction of attic-like apartments in winter and for using passenger elevators for transpiring building materials.
A fine of up to 5,000 lei will be imposed if reconstruction works accompanied by noise are performed in apartment buildings before 8am and after 6pm and if different notices are placed in apartment buildings, outside the areas intended for advertising.
The bill is to be adopted by Parliament.
