Financially, 2011 won't be an easy year, minister says
Financially, 2011 will not be an easy year, stated interim Finance Minister Veaceslav Negruta. While there was progress in 2010 and it was managed to stabilize the public finance sector, the economy hasn't recovered to the expected extent, he said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The fact that economic growth was attained in just three quarters is a very important step. Economic invigoration is felt in various areas, and it needs to be further consolidated, said the minister. Veasceslav Negruta added that the attainment of sustainable and qualitatively greater economic growth will lead to larger budget revenues from the real sector of economy.
According to him, the reports that the national budget is almost exclusively supported by external financing are exaggerated and biased. At the beginning of next year, the Ministry will report on all the entries into the budget, including tax revenues, customs duties, external financing, etc.
Concerning the 2011 budget, Negruta said it will most likely be adopted toward the end of the first quarter.
