The persons who suffered injuries in the blast in a café near the Central Market on January 9 will receive financial support from the Chisinau City Hall’s reserve fund. The local authorities will also provide assistance to the family of the victim who died in organizing the funerals. The announcement was made in the January 18 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, IPN reports.

Thus, the 13 victims who were hospitalized will get by 20,000 lei this week. The Finance Division’s head Veronica Herta said the persons who weren’t hospitalized, but were hurt can also benefit from support. They need to submit an application and the necessary documents to the commission for distributing the reserve fund, which will take a decision.

The head of the Health Division Mihai Moldovanu said that two of the three patients who were transported to Bucharest for treatment are still in a serious condition. Eight persons remain hospitalized. Their state is satisfactory.

About 20 persons were taken to the hospital as a result of the January 9 gas cylinder explosion. Thirteen persons were hospitalized. A man died in the hospital one week later.
