The pensioners, invalids and other categories of people from the municipality of Chisinau will receive financial support from the local authorities on the occasion of the Easter holidays. The announcement was made in the April 6 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and subdivisions, IPN reports.

The head of the Social-Humanitarian and Interethnic Relations Division Violeta Crudu said about 74,000 pensioners and persons with the first and second disability degrees will receive by 100 lei in assistance. Another 920 persons with visual impairments and 2,400 single elderly persons who are provided services at home will get by 350 lei. Also, 970 persons who took part in the Chernobyl cleanup and windows of such persons will receive by 1,000 lei in support.

The money is already available from post offices and the branches of Banca de Economii (Savings Bank).
