The persons who were hurt in the gas cylinder explosion at the café “La soacra” in central Chisinau this January will receive financial assistance from the municipal authorities, IPN reports, quoting Chisinau officials.
According to the head of the Chisinau Health Division Mihai Moldovanu, nine of the victims will get by 5,000 lei a month for the temporary loss of work capacity and by 1,000 lei for each of the children they maintain until the end of this year.
The gas cylinder explosion resulted in the death of four persons and the injuring of another nine. Earlier, the local authorities of Chisinau also provided financial assistance to the affected families.
In April, the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office sent to court the criminal case started against the managers of the café over violation of the labor protection and safety rules in places exposed to dangers of explosion. The café managers, who are husband and wife, face up to ten and, respectively, up to six years behind bars.
