More than 1 000 children from Straseni district will receive by 200 lei from the Straseni District Council for purchasing supplies and clothing for the 2011-2012 school year. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, deputy head of the Straseni District Council Sergiu Nicula said money will be given to children from socially underprivileged families. “As many as 1 065 children will receive financial assistance to prepare for the new school year,” he stated. Sergiu Nicula also said that the decision was taken in a meeting of the Administration Board of the local social support funds. “The money will be allocated from the budgetary funds of the District Council. We will make effort to distribute this money by the end of September,” he said. Those entitled to assistance can take the money from the post offices of Straseni districts.
