The families from Edinet and Calarasi districts that were affected by fire will receive 47,000 lei in financial assistance from the state. According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family, the money will be distributed in a differentiated way, depending on the gravity of the case, IPN reports.

The authorities will also give domestic appliances and goods for personal use in humanitarian aid to the family from Calarasi whose house was destroyed by fire. The goods will be provided from the humanitarian reserve fund that is managed by the Ministry.

Both of the fires occurred at end-January. No one was hurt in the fire in Calarasi, but the house burned to the ground. The fire in Edinet claimed six lives. Four of the victims were children.

The money will be allocated from the national Population Support Fund.
