Financial assistance for graduates who remained without parental care

Eight lyceum graduates of the 2016 from Chisinau class, who remained without parental care, received by 5,000 lei in assistance from the municipality. The Chisinau Child Rights Protection Division had a meeting with these on May 27. The graduates were informed about the opportunities of continuing their studies, IPN reports.

“I wish your nice results and the best grades on the graduation exams. I wish you not to meet with any difficulties. After you take the Baccalaureate exams, you should apply to one of the faculties. Chose the path, specialty that you like the most,” deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu said in the event.

The official informed the graduates that they will be able to obtain a budget-funded place in a higher education institution. These will also benefit from free places in dorms. At vocational schools, the young people who remained without parental care will be entitled to a monthly scholarship of 330 lei, no matter what average grades they have, free accommodation and meals.

The eight lyceum graduates received presents from the Child Rights Protection Division. After the meeting, these were invited to a restaurant in Chisinau.
