Finance Ministry reformulates priorities
The Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta presented the new priorities to his subordinates. Among the steps that will be taken immediately, the minister mentioned the identification of resources for covering the budget deficit, resumption of the dialogue with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other development partners, modification of the budget law for this year and drafting of the Medium-Term Fiscal Expenditure Estimate and the budget law for 2010, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry of Finance.
Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, who introduced Veaceslav Negruta to the staff, praised the employees of the Ministry of Finance for their professionalism, but stressed that this institution had been subjected to political pressure.
Veaceslav Negruta is 37. He is an independent economic expert and a member of the Liberal Democratic Party.
