The Quality Assurance Agency begins the national assessment of the fourth graders on May 12. The testing will last until May 21, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Education, more than 2,000 fourth graders from 12 districts and municipalities take the exam in the mother tongue – Ukrainian, Bulgarian or Gagauz – on May 12.
The exam in the language of learning – Romanian or Russian – will be sat on May 14. On May 19 the pupils will take a math test, while on May 21 the students speaking other languages will sit the oral exam in the Romanian language.
Currently, there are 32,953 fourth graders in Moldova.
