With 100% of the votes counted in the municipality of Chisinau, the results show that the Liberal candidate Dorin Chirtoaca polled 37.52% of the vote, while the Party of Socialists’ candidate Zinaida Grecheanyi – 35.68%. The two will compete in the second round of voting on June 28, IPN reports.

The results for the Chisinau Municipal Council are as follows:

The Party of Socialists – 31.71% (19 seats),

The Liberal Party – 29.54% (17 seats),

The Electoral Bloc “European People’s Platform of Moldova – Iurie Leanca” – 11.55% (6 seats),

The Our Party – 6.33% (3 seats),

The Party of Communists – 5.14% (3 seats),

The Liberal Democratic Party – 3.62% (2 seats),

The Democratic Party – 2.74% (1 seat).
