The director Valeriu Jereghi instituted a personal award for professionalism and devotion to the cinematographic art. The first winner of this award is the young cineaste Marin Iliut. Valeriu Jereghi declared for Info-Prim Neo that the prize aims to support the young cineastes, which managed to prove, despite the lack of activity of Moldova-Film and reticence of its leadership, they are they are the ones to revive the Moldovan cinematography. According to the director, Marin Iliut has an enormous cinematographic potential and is one of the future artists who will contribute making the brand Moldova-Film well known. At the same time, Valeriu Jereghi considers an unforgivable mistake ignoring such a talent as Marin Iliut is. The directors Mircea Chistruga and Roland Vieru decalred for Info-Prim Neo that instituting the personal award is an important event, inclusively because it “doesn’t have a political connotation”. The award “Valeriu Jereghi” consists of a diploma and a USD 200 prize.
