Filling stations increase petrol, diesel oil prices
Starting Tuesday, June 26, the price for a litre of petrol with the octane rating A98 is of MDL 13.1, A95 – MDL 12.7, A92 – MDL 12.3 and A80 – MDL 11.9. A litre of diesel oil is priced now at MDL 10.6. The price increases constituted on average MDL 0.9 for petrol and MDL 0.3 for diesel oil.
At the same, importers decided to keep down the wholesale price of diesel for farmers.
Importers of petroleum products say the fuel prices on the domestic market have increased because of the increase in price on the world market. “We have been importing petroleum products at new prices for two months already”, the chairman of the Petroleum Products Importers Union “Importcompetrol”, Valentin Bodisteanu said.
According to Bodisteanu, the stocks of the old-priced fuel were exhausted and they are being renewed at higher prices. While two months ago the importers bought the fuel for a price of USD 500-560 per metric ton, now the expenses have added up to USD 760-780 per ton, Bodisteanu said.
