File of Shor Party candidate to be reexamined

The Central Election Commission instructed District Electoral Council No. 13 of Rezinan town to reexamine within seven days the file of Leonid Nauc, a candidate of the Shor Party, whose registration was earlier refused, IPN reports.

The District Electoral Council Rezina argued that Leonid Nauc wasn’t registered because a number of irregularities were committed when signatures in favor of the candidate were collected and these bring the correctness of the process into question.

The Shor Party filed a complaint to the CEC, invoking flagrant violations of the Election Code. Examining the challenge, the CEC members noted that 765 of the 973 signatures were declared valid by the District Electoral Council Rezina and this figure is sufficient for the given candidate to be registered.
