Prime Minister Vlad Filat and the Transnistrian leader Igor Smirnov will meet to discuss subjects referring to the first round of the official talks in the 5+2 format, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Government’s press service, the two will also confer on the measures aimed at building confidence between the people living on the banks of the Nistru River. The meeting will take place at the head office of the OSCE Mission in Bender on November 21. Earlier, the OSCE CiO Special Representative for Protracted Conflicts Giedrius Čekuolis suggested that the first formal meeting in the 5+2 format should take place in Vilnius between November 30 and December 1. The decision to resume the formal talks in the 5+2 format after an interruption of several years was taken in the September 22 informal consultations held in Moscow.
