Filat orders start of investigation into soldiers’ graves vandalism
Prime Minister Vlad Filat signed an order requesting the commencment of an investigation into the cases of vandalism at the memorial complexes and at the graves of soldiers fallen during World War II, reports Info-Prim Neo.
According to the Government’s press service, the order was in response to a request submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Moldova, which remarks the recent intensification in vandalism at memorial complexes and at the graves of soldiers fallen during WWII, particularly at the historical complex in Gura Bicului.
The Prosecutor General’s Office and the MoI is to inform the Ministry of External Affairs on the results of the investigation.
