Filat has met with Putin

Moldova’s Prime Minister Vlad Filat had a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Summit of the Council of CIS Heads of Government in Yalta on November 20. Vlad Filat informed Vladimir Putin that Moldova finished the talks with the International Monetary Fund can reopen negotiations on the loan promised by Russia. He expressed his hope that they would be successful, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Government’s press office. In another development, the Russian Premier said the relationship between Russia and Moldova has developed steadily during the last few years, especially the commercial-economic relations. The Moldovan Premier said Moldova banks on pragmatism in the relations with Russia and will fulfill all its obligations. The two officials discussed a number of issues, including the Transnistrian dispute.
