Filat: Chetraru should change his manner of managing NAC
Prime Minister Vlad Filat said that Viorel Chetraru will not be allowed to attend the Government’s meetings until the National Anticorruption Center (NAC) that he manages does not work in accordance with the Constitution, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Vlad Filat said that the NAC is not a governmental institution, while Viorel Chetraru took part in the Government’s meetings based on invitations. “They have the status of invitees. Until this institution is managed in this manner, Chetraru will not be invited,” said the Premier.
On February 20, the National Anticorruption Center issued a communiqué, saying the Center’s director Viorel Chetraru was announced over the phone by representatives of the Government’s secretariat general that his presence or the presence of another representative of the NAC at the executive’s meetings is no longer necessary.
