Two legislators engaged in a fight at the Gagauz People's Assembly's meeting on Tuesday. Communist Roman Tiutin was quoted by Gagauzia Info as saying that the Socialist legislator Serghei Cimpoies struck the Lib-Dem Anatoli Topal, who hit something while falling and passed out as a result. After the incident, Anatoli Topal required hospitalization.
The incident was confirmed by Ivan Burgudji, the head of the local parliament's legal committee. He said that he didn't see it personally, because he was busy working at his computer, but heard the two argue loudly, after which Cimpoies shoved Topal, who required medical care after his nose started bleeding.
