Fight against corruption contributes to irreversibility of reforms in justice sector, PM

The fight against corruption was included both in the list of commitments undertaken by the Republic of Moldova before the European Union and in the basic priorities of the Government. This fight strengthens institutions and makes all justice reform processes irreversible, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stated in a meeting of the Anticorruption Platform, IPN reports.

The participants in the meeting discussed the draft regulations on the organization and functioning of the Anticorruption Platform, the constitution method, the duties, rights and responsibilities of members and also the strengthening of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office and the digital solution for monitoring progress in fighting organized crime and corruption.

The meeting also considered the National Integrity and Anticorruption Program for 2024-2028. There were presented the conclusions of the report on the opportunity to organize, at the National Institute of Justice, a specialized continuous training course for prosecutors from territorial prosecutor’s offices and criminal investigators of the National Anticorruption Center.

It was the first meeting of the Anticorruption Platform this year. The authorities aim to convene this regularly in order to streamline the process of coordinating anticorruption policies and policies related to the anticorruption sector.
