As many as 25 day summer camps will be opened in Chisinau municipality this year, which is fewer than the previous years. The prices of tickets to these camps increased, IPN reports.

Lucia Caciuc, adviser to the mayor of Chisinau on social issues, explained that the demand is lower and the number of day summer camps will also be lower. Also, not all the education institutions can provide sleeping places for children, but this is a mandatory condition.

As the previous years, one child can rest at the summer camp for 15 days. Those who will be included in the lists presented by the Division for the Protection of Children’s Rights and the children of boarding school No. 3 will get free tickets. The other children will pay 20% of the price, which is 224 lei, as opposed to 215 lei last year.

The municipality has allocated 4 million lei for improving the conditions in summer camps.
