Fewer BAC centers and no pat-downs in 2013 session

In the 2013 Baccalaureate session, there will be fewer BAC centers where the students will take the exams. Moreover, the law enforcement bodies won’t be involved in the organization of the exams and students will not be subjected to pat-downs. These are just some of the proposals regarding the organization of the 2013 BAC session voiced during public consultations with the participation of students, parents, teachers and representatives of the Ministry of Education, Info-Prim Neo reports. Director of the Agency for Evaluation and Examination Adrian Ghicov told the press on Tuesday, November 27, that public consultations are meant to develop and improve the current methodology for the organization of BAC exams. Thus, it was proposed for fewer BAC centers to be opened in the 2013 session, but to be equipped with cameras and jamming devices in order to prevent cheating. A new element in the 2013 could be the scanning of tests after students finish them and submit the papers. Thus, any modifications of the content during the examination of appeals will be prevented, as the written paper will be compared to its scanned versions. Public consultations took place in Balti and Cahul. At the end of December, the proposals regarding the organization of exams will be summed up and presented, then implemented in pre-tests.
