Fellow party member on Ilan Shor’s whereabouts

“He will soon answer this himself”, replied MP Denis Ulanov when asked by reporters about the location of his party leader Ilan Shor. Ulanov, who also represents Shor in court as one of his lawyers, held a press briefing today alongside other Shor Party MPs.

Denis Ulanov recalled that from the very first Parliament meeting the Shor group declared it would deliberately commit itself to opposition. According to him, the component parties of the current “national-socialist”, “pseudo-coalition” has totally opposite programs, and this is a cause of great concern. Considering this, says Ulanov, the Shor Party has a duty to be “an active opposition (party) to denounce the wrongdoings of the current government.”

“Our group does not only represent seven MPs, but more than 60,000 party members, and more than 120,000 voters – people who trusted us and continue to trust us, and who are ready to defend us, as well as their rights and their future,” stated Denis Ulanov.

He went on to accuse the government of trying to put pressure on the judicial system. In his opinion, recent occurrences like the participation of the prime minister in a meeting of the Superior Council of Magistrates, should be checked for any violation of the principle of separation of powers.
