“Feelings and Imagery” exhibition put on display in Chisinau

The “Feelings and Imagery” exhibition of painter Gheorghe Mardare was put on display today, August 2, at the National Museum of Art. The paintings will be on display until August 14, and those would like to buy a painting they liked, will be able to do so, reports Info-Prim Neo. The paintings are pieces from three cycles: “Bridges in time”, “The painting of music” and “Sonnets in colors”. The author, Gheorghe Mardare communicated that he was invited to make an exhibition in Moldova, him being a resident of Germany for several years now. “If I am invited again, and if I still have enough strength, I believe I will make other exhibitions”, said Gheorghe Mardare. The majority of the works on display are predominantly motivated by his personal feelings on the remarkable, yet full of tension events, which commenced in Moldova, as well as in the rest of Europe, after 1989. Gheorghe Mardare said that he had been impressed by music since early childhood, especially classical music, and since 15 years of age he started sketching the feelings arisen in him by music. Additionally, the painter has a set of paintings dubbed “The Sadness”. Gheorghe Mardare says that while living in Germany he often feels homesick and is engulfed in sadness, which he then lays on canvas. The painter will be in Chisinau until the end of his exhibitions, after which he will return to Germany. Gheorghe Mardare has been living in Germany for almost 17 years, but he says that he is a fatalist and does not exclude the possibility of returning to his roots, to Moldova, someday.
