Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit the Republic of Moldova from 29 to 30 September, the official website of the German presidential administration informs. In Chisinau, the Federal President will be welcomed with military honors by the President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu.

As well as holding political talks with the President, the Prime Minister and representatives of parliament, the Federal President will be opening a business conference and meeting German Academic Exchange Service alumni and local politicians. He will also be visiting the Museum of Ethnography and the Engineering College in Străşeni and planting a tree in the Botanical Garden in Chisinau.

The Federal President’s trip is a sign of support for the reform course being pursued by President Sandu and Prime Minister Gavrilița. The Federal President will be accompanied by a high-level business delegation.
