FC Zimbru Chisinau won the home leg of the Europa League qualification round against Greek side PAOK. The Moldovans managed a narrow 1-0 victory, IPN reports.

The goal was scored on 80 minutes, when defender Stefan Burghiu head home a corner kick. About 9000 fans attended the game, including a few dozen of Greeks.

Should Zimbru win or draw the away leg on August 28, they will reach the Europa League groups for the first time in their history.
