While most of the National Division teams are preparing at home for the new football season, FC Costuleni has chosen another destination. The ‘lions’ will leave for Italy to train at the beginning of July. They will be trained by a new coach, most probably an Italian one, who will test a series of players. The announcement was made by the club’s manager Pietro Belardelli, who took over the team two days ago, IPN reports.
“In the near future, I intend to rename the team FC Chisinau. It will struggle for the title the coming season,” said the Italian businessman. Before going to Rome, FC Costuleni will play a series of friendly matches.
Former manager Iurie Chirinciuc will hold the post of the team’s honorific president.
Earlier, Pietro Belardelli negotiated for several months with Rapid Ghidighici, but they reached deadlock owing to misunderstandings with the club’s owner Victor Ostap.
